Staff Appreciation
This committee will work together to plan meals during conference week, monthly "Happy Cart" treats, holiday cookie exchange and staff appreciation week in May.
Room Parent
This is a separate sign-up process, typically within the first few weeks of school! Be on the look out at Sneak a Peek Night!
Being a Room Parent is a very important part of our Fox school community. Each class will have one lead room parent to serve as point of contact for the teacher, with many parents working together to plan class parties! It can be a mom, dad or even a grandparent! It's a great opportunity to get to know other parents, your kiddo's classmates and their teacher! Responsibilities include coordinating 3 class parties- Halloween, Holiday, and Valentine's Day.
This committee also collects and publishes the Teacher Favorite Things documents in the fall.
Co-Chairs: Nicole McWain and Jessica Armentrout
Fundraising
This sub-committee is in charge of raising funds through community based partners. This committee will divide up tasks because many hands make light work on this big job! Ways to help include making connections with local businesses, writing thank you notes to donors, researching sponsorships and corporate match programs, shopping giveback apps, and writing grants for LIM. This committee will maintain relationships and communication with sponsors throughout the school year, through newsletters and honoring the Sponsor Tiers.
Family Events
This committee will work together to plan Grandparents Day Picnic (9/5 and 9/6), Fall Festival (10/25), Son+1 (2/21), Daughter+VIP (2/22) and Spring Carnival (Date in Apr or May, TBD). Tasks will be divided up, based on interest and skills, so the work load is manageable for anyone who is interested.
5th Grade Events Committee
This group works together with the 5th grade teachers to plan and execute special traditions for our 5th graders, including t-shirts, memory books, pool party, Forest Finale and the 5th grade picnic. *We also welcome any 4th grade parents who would like to begin learning what this entails.*
Yearbook Committee
This committee is responsible for the compilation of the yearbook, working with school staff and teachers to obtain photos. Committee members will utilize the incredibly user-friendly TreeRing platform to design the yearbook, and will help families with ordering.
Chair: Sarah Kennedy
Spirit Wear
This committee will work together to design shirts, select styles, sort and organize inventory and be present at events to answer questions about products.
General Volunteering
If you are not sure which committee is the best fit for you, but would like to be contacted as opportunities arise, please sign up here. You will receive more information throughout the year with smaller asks, such as helping on the day of yearbook pictures or vision screenings.
